We’re looking for an experienced and highly organised Head of Strategic Projects to join our Strategy team in a permanent, full-time role based in Auckland. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in bringing NZC’s strategic priorities to life by leading and delivering projects across the organisation.
Working closely with the Chief Strategy & Finance Officer, CEO, Senior Leadership Team and project owners, you’ll manage projects from initial scoping through to delivery. You’ll lead cross-functional project teams, determine key deliverables, manage resources and budgets, and ensure projects achieve their strategic outcomes within agreed timeframes.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage cross-functional projects across NZC, aligned to our strategic goals, working collaboratively with teams to scope projects, establish key deliverables and drive successful delivery.
- Drive key strategic projects as project owner, including developing detailed business cases and preparing summarised reports for the Board.
- Develop project plans and manage allocated resources, budgets and timeframes to ensure projects remain on track and deliver against agreed outcomes.
- Regularly report on project performance, progress, risks and key deliverables against NZC’s strategic objectives.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing clear communication and supporting teams to successfully deliver projects.
Experience and Skills
- Demonstrated project management experience within a business environment.
- Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to take ownership and drive projects forward.
